COMPETITION LAW 

Ms. Neelambera Sandeepan is a Joint Partner in the Competition Law team at Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan Attorneys. She regularly appears before the Competition Commission of India, NCLAT and various High Courts. She has previously worked at the World Trade Organisation in Geneva. She has graduated from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow and has pursued her Masters from New York University School of Law and the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Yaman Verma is a Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas. He has extensively advised on complex multi-jurisdictional mergers, abuse of dominance and cartel cases, with a special focus on technology and e-commerce markets. Yaman has been recognised by leading directories, including Chambers & Partners, Who’s Who Legal, Legal500, and Experts’ Guide. He regularly contributes to competition law publications, including India chapters for GCR, “Getting the Deal Through”, and PLC. He has also co-authored an article on Indian antitrust law for a Kluwer publication titled “Competition and Patent Law in the Pharmaceutical Sector: An International Perspective” in 2016, and a Competition Policy International Publication titled “The Evolution of Antitrust in the Digital Era: Essays on Competition Policy” in 2020. He graduated from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, where he has also conducted an elective course on competition law.

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW

Mr. Balu G Nair is a Lecturer at O.P. Jindal Global University. He has been associated with organisations such as AK Law Chambers and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. He was awarded the Tata Endowment Scholarship as well as the Myers Family Scholarship. His current research interests include the interface between public and private law in India, temporary constitutionalism, and federal asymmetry. Other than public law, his interest lies in the areas of tort and copyright laws. He was the inaugural Alex Chernov Scholar during his LL.M. at the Melbourne Law School. University. He has been associated with organisations such as AK Law Chambers and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

Dr. Sam J. Abraham is an Assistant Professor of Constitutional Law at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. Prior to joining NUJS, he has taught at Amity University, Noida, UP and Ravindra Nath Tagore Law College, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Dr. Abraham holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Kota and Ph.D. in Law from the Mohan Lal Sukhadia University. He has qualified UGC NET in Sociology and Law. He had First Rank in LL.B. from the Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Rajasthan. He also had rank in M.A. Sociology. He has published two books and eight articles. He has presented papers at Vrije University, Netherlands, and Handong University, South Korea. Apart from Law and Sociology, Dr. Abraham has degrees in Theology and English Literature. He has twelve years of teaching experience.

CRIMINAL LAW

Ms. Ashima Mandla is a Criminal Law Practitioner primarily practicing in Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi. She is the co-founder and partner at Mandla & Singh Law Chambers. She is the former junior of Mr. K.T.S Tulsi, Senior Advocate and Member Parliament (Rajya Sabha ) and Mr. Vivek Tanka, Senior Advocate and Member Parliament(Rajya Sabha). She works with many institutions including Legal and Human rights department of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, Criminal Justice Society of India, National Student’ Union Legal Aid Clinic and many more.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Prof (Dr) Ajar Rab is an advocate, arbitrator, author, and professor, specializing in international arbitration, corporate transactions, and commercial litigation. As the founding partner of ANR LAW LLP, Dehradun, he has been involved in high-stakes arbitrations and litigations, particularly in energy disputes, EPC contracts, and infrastructure disputes. He has collaborated with ministries, government bodies, and policy institutes. Dr. Rab holds esteemed academic positions, including ‘Professor of Practice’ at the School of Law, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, Honorary Research Chair Professor at NIRMA University, Ahmedabad, and Distinguished Visiting Professor at NUJS, Kolkata. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Vis East Moot, Hong Kong, an empanelled arbitrator with institutions such as SIAC, IIAC, AIAC, and CBMA, and a member of various arbitration institutes. He has authored several books and published extensively in leading journals. His contributions have been recognised by the Supreme Court of India.

Ms. Vibha Bandhu is currently serving as a Young Professional at the Centre for WTO Studies, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. In this capacity, She contributes to policy-oriented research and analysis under the WTO framework. She is actively involved in studying global trade standards, evaluating their implications for member nations, and supporting capacity-building initiatives to enhance stakeholder understanding of international trade regulations. Prior to this role, She accumulated over five years of academic experience as an educator in the field of law, teaching a diverse array of subjects including Intellectual Property Rights, the Indian Contract Act, Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Law of Torts, Media Law, and Land Laws. She is also pursuing PhD in the area of International Arbitration. This robust academic foundation has provided her with a multidisciplinary perspective on the intersection of law, policy, and trade. With a keen interest in arbitration, mediation, and trade law, Vibha is passionate about exploring innovative solutions in alternative dispute resolution and advancing research in international trade law to foster equitable and efficient systems.

Mr. Akash Gupta is an Associate Professor and Assistant Director at Jindal Global Law School, O.P Jindal Global University and a Visiting Faculty at National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. Appointed to the Young IAMC Steering Committee (2025–2027), he is an alumnus of Tamil Nadu National Law University and Stockholm University (LL.M.). He attended the Paris Arbitration Academy and the Hague Academy on full scholarship and sponsorship, respectively. Awarded “Young ADR Academic of the Year” in 2023, he has 10 Scopus-indexed publications. He regularly judges competitions like Vis and Jessup, conducts workshops and teaches credit courses across India and abroad, and serves on editorial, peer review boards and advisory boards of leading ADR journals.

HUMAN RIGHTS

Prof. (Dr.) Vishnu Konoorayar Konoorillam is Professor of Law and Dean (Research) at Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, with extensive academic and research experience across leading institutions in India and Europe. He has previously served as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Law at TERI School of Advanced Studies, Assistant Professor at the Indian Law Institute, and Lecturer at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, and has been a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory, Frankfurt am Main. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and Law from Mahatma Gandhi University and an LL.M. in Commercial Law and Human Rights Law from Cochin University of Science and Technology, and his academic interests include corporate law, international law, European law, and cyberspace law, with a sustained emphasis on interdisciplinary research and legal scholarship.


Dr. Daniel Mathew is an Associate Professor at National Law University Delhi, specialising in dispute resolution and human rights. His academic and research interests include commercial and investment arbitration, international humanitarian law, legal education, and law and economics. Prior to joining NLUD, he served as Assistant Professor at the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, where he taught courses on alternative dispute resolution, human rights, and international arbitration, and earlier practised as an advocate before the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court in matters involving constitutional, administrative, contract, arbitration, and matrimonial law. He holds an LL.M. from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, where he was a Gold Medallist, an LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.

INSOLVENCY LAW

Mr. Suharsh Sinha is a Partner in the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Practice at AZB and partners. He has served as an independent consultant to Bankruptcy Law Reform Committee and as a consultant with the Strategic Research Unit of the RBI. He has assisted in drafting key rules and regulations for implementing IBC, 2016. He has played a key role in drafting IBBI Insolvency Resolution Process for Corporate Persons Regulations (2016), IBBI Liquidation of Corporate Persons Regulations (2016) and Application to Adjudicating Authority Rules (2016). He has graduated from NLSIU, Bangalore and has done his LLM from the University of Pennsylvania.

INTERNATIONAL LAW

Dr. Moumita Mandal holds Ph.D. in International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and serves as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow under the Jawaharlal Nehru Chair, School of International Studies, JNU, New Delhi. She completed her M.Phil in International Law from JNU and LL.M in International Law from the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata. She has contributed significant scholarly works such as: “Role of Women in Sustainable Soil Management: Some Legal Reflections” in Bharat H. Desai et al (ed.), Soil law & Governance in India (Berlin: Springer, 2021; forthcoming);  “Sexual & Gender Based-Violence in International Human Rights Law: Some Reflections”, Journal of National Human Rights Commission, India Vol. 19, 2020; Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA)”, Yearbook of International Environmental Law, (Oxford: OUP), vol.30, 2019, etc. She also worked as a rapporteur in West Bengal Commission for Women and Human Rights Studies Programme, SIS, JNU, New Delhi; and drafted a project for the West Bengal Commission for Women.

Dr. Santosh K Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor at Law Centre 2, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He has a doctorate degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is an annual report contributor on ‘Armed Conflict and the Environment’ to the Yearbook of International Environmental Law. He is a member of IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law and an Associate Member of Indian Society of International Law (ISIL), New Delhi. He teaches Public International Law, International Humanitarian Law, Administrative Law and Jurisprudence. He has been actively involved in ICRC’s activities of spreading IHL’s awareness and understanding among students.

PUBLIC POLICY

Shehnaz Ahmed leads the Applied Law & Technology Research at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy (Vidhi) – an independent think-tank in India. A lawyer by profession, she has more than a decade of work experience in technology laws, financial regulation, and corporate laws. Her work at Vidhi focuses on developing legal and policy solutions to ensure that innovation serves society equitably and responsibly. At Vidhi, she has worked with several Government Ministries and Departments and regulators on matters relating to digital public infrastructure, data protection, artificial intelligence, digital safety, digital competition and fintech. She has led several government engagements on behalf of Vidhi with various Ministries and government agencies, such as Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Department of Land Resources, Government of Telangana, and the Reserve Bank of India. She is regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences on tech policy and fintech and writes frequently for the Financial Express, LiveMint and Hindu BusinessLine.

Dr. Ajay Gautam is an interdisciplinary scholar of public policy, governance, and development, with PhD in Law and Governance from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Kautilya School of Public Policy, Hyderabad. Previously, he was a Tata Postdoctoral Fellow at the London School of Economics and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements. His research explores how governance and power relations shape urbanisation, with a focus on peri-urban India—particularly Delhi NCR—to generate insights for global debates on urban studies, political economy, and social policy.

ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Abhishek Dwivedi is a graduate of Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow. He started his career in the dispute resolution practice of Economic Laws Practice, Mumbai, in 2016. At ELP, Abhishek worked on arbitration matters in power, port and infrastructure sectors. Abhishek has also worked in the dispute resolution practice of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai where he amassed experience in handling high-profile arbitrations, white-collar disputes including FEMA adjudications, as well as commercial and regulatory disputes. At present, Abhishek practices before various fora, including the Allahabad High Court, regulatory bodies, and tribunals in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The primary area of practice includes arbitration, commercial and civil disputes apart from banking and consumer matters.

Smarika Singh is an Equity Partner in the Firm’s Dispute Resolution team. She works very closely on matters pertaining to commercial arbitration and litigation. Smarika has been part of International & Domestic Commercial Arbitrations and related litigation. She also regularly advises clients on contentious issues arising under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act and the Food Safety and Standards Act. She represents clients in litigations before the Supreme Court of India as well in the Delhi High Court and in specialized Tribunals such as the Telecom Dispute Settlement & Appellate Tribunal, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and National Company Law Tribunal. Smarika represented the Firm in the annual Lex Mundi Cross Border Dispute Resolution Program in Monterey, USA, 2015. Straight out of law school, she joined the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. and was with the Firm until its dissolution in 2015. Anshuman Gupta is a Partner at Krishnamurthy & Co. and specialises in commercial litigation, domestic and international arbitration, and mediation. He has acted for PSUs and private clients across diverse sectors, including aviation, banking, construction, energy, FMCG, logistics, real estate, and telecom, before the Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts, NCLTs, NCLAT, DRTs, DRATs, and NCDRC. Rahul Narayan is a partner and heads the disputes practice in Chandhiok & Mahajan, a full-service law firm with offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. He qualified as a lawyer in 2004 ranked among the top 5 students in the Amity Law School, GGSIP University. He completed the BCL from Oxford University in 2004. He is an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India and a qualified Solicitor, England and Wales. In the past he has worked with AZB, Delhi and with Herbert Smith in London and as an independent advocate-on-record in the Supreme Court. His practice combines big ticket commercial arbitrations, both domestic and international, as well as disputes in the courts in construction, logistics & infrastructure, energy (renewable and oil & gas), technology, commercial disputes, maritime and trade as well as issues of constitutional law and insolvency. He is also a trained and experienced arbitrator. He writes extensively for academic journals and for newspapers and magazines on ADR, constitutional law, technology, and international trade.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

Nikhil Naren, Assistant Director, Cyril Shroff Centre for AI, Law & Regulation; Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School and an Of Counsel at Scriboard, specialises in the intersection of law and technology. A Chevening Scholar and recipient of the United Kingdom’s Foreign Office’s ‘Gold Award’ for Volunteering, he has worked on Microsoft’s ‘Cloud Legal Project’ and consulted for the Digital Economy Capacity-Building Section of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development [UNCTAD], Geneva. His teaching and research lie in exploring the impact of law and technology on the society and how technologies challenge the limits of the law [and the ways to tackle it!]. Co-Author of the books, Artificial Intelligence and Law: Challenges Demystified (2022 & 2024) and Internet Law (2020), his upcoming book—Technology Law: Regulations, Cyber Policy, and the Digital Landscape releases is due for release soon. He advises on Intellectual Property and Online Brand Enforcement, Data Protection and Privacy, and Emerging technologies. He has also delivered training sessions for HCLTech, Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, and Senior Officers from the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. He has taught various facets of technology law at over a dozen law schools, including credit courses at NLU Delhi, NLU Odisha, and WBNUJS, Kolkata.

Aman Sagar is a Senior Associate working with the IP Prosecution vertical of Saikrishna & Associates. Aman is practicing IP for the past 5 years and advises clients on a wide range of IP matters. His expertise lies in Trade Mark matters where his scope of work encompasses advising domestic and international clients on issues related to clearance searches, brand adoption, trade mark prosecution and opposition, post-registration matters including assignments and renewals and managing overseas trade mark portfolios for Indian clients in other countries. His practice also covers Copyright and Design prosecution. Dr. Amitavo Mitra is a Partner at Saikrishna & Associates, specialising in patent law with a focus on contentious matters, strategy, and advisory, particularly in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. His practice includes patent prosecution, opposition and revocation proceedings, portfolio development, licensing, and intellectual property strategy for domestic and international clients. Prior to entering legal practice, he pursued academic research in molecular and cellular biology, completing his Ph.D. at Dartmouth College and undertaking postdoctoral research at Tufts Medical Center, before qualifying in law from Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
